SDCCU encourages the community to improve their mental health by accessing free resources

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (October 7, 2024) San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), one of San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institutions, is proud to support Check Your Mood Day in partnership with Live Well San Diego. Check Your Mood Day, held on October 10 in conjunction with National Depression Screening Day, encourages the community to monitor and assess their emotional well-being.

This year, Live Well San Diego and the County Behavioral Health Services are offering new resources for Check Your Mood Day. After taking the mental health check-in, they are offering a new 30-Day Mental Wellness Practice, which includes tools and tips for self-care practices for your body, mind and relationships.

This annual event is held to engage and encourage community members to raise awareness about mental health. Check Your Mood Day allows members of the community to join together to access free online mental health resources, take a virtual “Check Your Mood” screening and participate in a social media campaign to raise awareness about mental health. “We are pleased to join the County of San Diego and Live Well San Diego to raise awareness about this important subject. We encourage the community to utilize the numerous free resources available through Live Well San Diego’s Check Your Mood Day website,” said Teresa Campbell, SDCCU president and CEO. “It’s important to take care of your mental health for overall wellness as it can quickly take a toll on your physical and financial health.”

The San Diego County Board of Supervisors launched Live Well San Diego in 2010 with the goal of achieving healthy, safe and thriving communities across the region by partnering with community and city leaders, schools, businesses, non-profit organizations and residents. SDCCU was the first financial institution to be designated a Live Well San Diego partner due to its many efforts to improve the overall wellbeing of people in San Diego County.
