SAN DIEGO, Calif., (June 25, 2024) —SDCCU Stuff the Bus, in partnership with the Angels Baseball Foundation and Jersey Mike’s, is collecting monetary donations to purchase back-to-school supplies for students in need. Donations will help set up students in Orange and Riverside counties for success in the coming school year. All proceeds collected in these counties will be used to purchase school supplies in support of the Angels Baseball Foundation Back 2 School Event on July 23, 2024.

“We are excited to be partnering with the Angels Baseball Foundation and our new partner in Orange County, Jersey Mike’s, to make a substantial impact in the lives of students who are in desperate need of support,” said Teresa Campbell, SDCCU president and CEO. “We invite you to join us to help students start the new school year off with the supplies they need to be successful.”

Monetary donations will be accepted in-store at all Jersey Mike’s locations in Orange County, in-branch or online at sdccu.com/donate from June 24 to July 31, 2024.

“Through our philanthropic efforts at the Angels Baseball Foundation, our community focus continues to be kids and education,” said the Angels Baseball Chairman Dennis Kuhl. “We are so proud to help support our youth in Orange County through the SDCCU Stuff the Bus initiative supporting the Angels Baseball Foundation. It will give these kids access to much needed school supplies which will help them start the school year strong and confident.”

The Angels Baseball Foundation was established in 2004 under Arte and Carole Moreno.  Together with the Los Angeles Angels, the two organizations have contributed more than $24 million in value toward local causes. Each year, the Angels Baseball Foundation rewards community organizations with grants to benefit their individual needs and to support programs that impact our youth. The Foundation focuses on improving education, healthcare, arts and sciences, as well as community related youth programs and military engagement throughout the region.
