General Questions

Can I create myOwn Card?
Most members with an SDCCU Visa® Credit or Check Card can make a myOwn Card Photo Visa. Qualified cards will be listed when you click Photo Card in Internet Branch. Business Accounts are not eligible.

Can my Joint Owner have a different photo on their Visa Card?
Yes. You can select which card the photo will go on when you click Photo Card in Internet Branch. You can upload a unique photo to each card, but this is not required. All cards with the same card number will receive a new card. This means that if a photo is uploaded for only one card on the account, all other cardholders will receive a new standard SDCCU Visa Card in the mail.

How much does it cost?
A one-time fee of $6.95 will be charged to the associated Credit Card or Checking Account for each myOwn Card Photo Visa ordered.

What do I need to create myOwn Card?
Please refer to the myOwn Card Photo Visa Terms & Conditions in Internet Branch for current computer requirements.

How do I design myOwn Card?
Log onto Internet Branch and click Photo Card in the main blue navigation area. You will be prompted to upload your favorite digital photo, preview your card and click Submit.

Can I change my photo?
Yes. You can change your photo as often as you like. The $6.95 fee will be charged for each new myOwn Card you order.

When will I get my new card?
Your new card will be mailed to you and will arrive within 2-3 weeks. You can continue using your current SDCCU Visa Card until your myOwn Card arrives; destroy your old card once you receive your new card.

Is this secure?
Yes. Your information is password protected through Internet Branch. Learn more about Internet Branch security here.

I don't use Internet Branch, can I do this at my local branch?
No. This service is only available through Internet Branch, our online banking system. Enroll today!

Image Questions

What format does the digital photo need to be in?
The photo needs to be a high resolution jpg or gif.

What size does my digital photo need to be?
The bigger your photo is, the better your myOwn Card will turn out. Low resolution photos, photos that are stretched and dark photos will not print well.

Can I retouch my image?
All image retouching needs to be done on your own before uploading the photo.

What images are not acceptable?
Please see our Standard Photo Card Guidelines for more information.

Where does my digital photo need to be stored?
Your digital photo needs to be stored on your computer so you can upload it to the myOwn Card Designer.

How do I convert my photo into a digital photo?
Your local photo center should be able to convert your printed photo into a digital photo for a nominal fee.

What if I don't have a digital photo?
We have several San Diego landscape photos available for your use – you will see them when you reach the myOwn Card Designer. The standard $6.95 fee applies if you use one of these photos.

How will I know if my image is rejected?
A notice will be mailed to you at the address on file.
