Lift Up Literacy Book Drive


SDCCU is proud to partner with the San Diego County Library System to support literacy in our community. Now through October 31, all San Diego County SDCCU branches are collecting new or gently used books to distribute throughout the county.

Members and non-members can stop by any of our convenient San Diego County branch locations to donate books in the designated bins. Please note, we cannot accept the following:

  • Books that are worn and shabby or have torn pages
  • Books with very small print or poor quality images
  • Battery-operated books
  • Reference items like encyclopedias or dictionaries
  • Textbooks
  • Oversized books
  • Damaged books (missing pages, torn covers, water damage)
  • Outdated books
  • Books with writing or markings
  • Books in poor condition (worn or falling apart)
  • Moldy or dusty books
